WildSentry / About

Security for businesses without an IT team.

We started WildSentry because small shops, offices and practices were getting the same alerts as big companies, with nobody to call.

Our story

From WordPress sites to full software platforms

I’m Bhargav Patel. For the last 15 years I’ve been the CTO of two software companies, responsible for everything we put online, from simple WordPress sites to full platforms our customers relied on every day.

That job comes with a security checklist nobody sees: patching as soon as a fix ships, testing updates before they go live, keeping backups you’ve actually restored, locking down logins and making sure nobody can send email pretending to be you. When it’s done well, nothing happens. That’s the point.

Small businesses face the same threats without anyone to run that checklist. In October 2026 a flaw called PHP2Shell put a huge share of the web at risk overnight. I started checking small business sites and found the same thing again and again: old software, email anyone could fake, and owners who had no idea.

None of them needed a big IT firm. They needed someone to check, fix the few things that mattered, and explain it without jargon.

“A small business shouldn’t need a security team to stay off the hacked list. It should need one phone number.”

That’s the whole idea: the same habits I rely on as a CTO, for businesses that don’t have one. We keep the list short, check it often and put everything in one page you can read in two minutes.
